Swaroop Vedula

Swaroop Vedula is an Assistant Research Professor in the Malone Center for Engineering in Healthcare at the Johns Hopkins University (JHU). He completed medical training in India, PhD from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, and postdoctoral fellowship in computer science at the Whiting School of Engineering, JHU. His current research involves data science and machine learning methods to assess surgical technical skill, analytics to quantify care in the operating room and predict outcomes in surgical patients, and augmenting surgical care and training through intelligent technologies.
